Short, because the product is simple. By using YappyPaste you agree to these terms.
YappyPaste is licensed, not sold, by SGAI ("we"). Your purchase from the Mac App Store gives you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Macs you own or control, under the Apple Media Services terms that govern all App Store purchases, including Apple's rules on the number of devices.
YappyPaste is a one-time purchase. We do not charge subscriptions or in-app purchases for the features that exist at the time of your purchase. Updates to version 1.x are included. If we ever release a paid major version, your existing version keeps working.
Purchases are handled by Apple, and so are refunds. Request one through your Apple account at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't process refunds directly, but we're happy to help you make the case: jay@sgai.sg.
YappyPaste uses Apple's Speech framework and the open-source WhisperKit runtime with OpenAI's Whisper model weights (MIT licence), downloaded from Hugging Face at your request. Those components carry their own licences, which we comply with and which do not restrict your use of the app.
The app is provided "as is". Speech recognition makes mistakes; you are responsible for checking what gets pasted, especially in anything that matters. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Nothing in them limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
